The Bachelor’s degree in “Psychology” is implemented as a classical educational program that combines theoretical knowledge with practical training. During the course of study, students master the core disciplines of scientific psychological knowledge, which are supplemented by applied and practical courses. The training is based on the traditions of the Herzen School of Psychology, founded a hundred years ago by M. Ya. Basov, L. S. Vygotsky, S. L. Rubinstein, B. G. Ananyev, and others. The training of practical psychologists began at the university thirty years ago.

The profession of a psychologist is in demand in many sectors of the economy: education, business, management, politics, the social sphere, science, etc. Psychological knowledge serves to understand and explain the patterns of the human psyche, social behavior, and interpersonal relationships, to optimize working conditions and human life activities, as well as to provide psychological assistance in various life situations.
